With some windows they can be very difficult to clean with them being an awkward shape, size or position. However, there is always a way to clean them it just may take slightly longer and more know how. Here are some examples of windows that can be difficult to clean:
Cleaning Lead and Lattice Windows
When it comes to cleaning this style of window they can be awkward because of the fact you can't use a squeegee. This means they usually take longer to clean because you can only use cloths and a sponge when cleaning them. You would start by washing them with a wet sponge and soap solution to lift the dirt from the surface, being careful over the lead as it can come away easily when rubbed hard. Its important not to let the cloths you use get too wet causing streaking, you are best using one cloth to remove most excess water and using separate dry cloths to buff each section.
Washing Conservatory Roofs
These can be a window cleaners worst nightmare but so long as they know the correct way to clean them there is no reason why they can't do it for you. Conservatories tend to be best cleaned with the water fed pole systems because the traditional long reach tools can result in a poor finish. Unless the window cleaner has equipment such as a cherry picker it can be very difficult and dangerous for them to clean windows directly above a conservatory.
How To Clean French Windows?
These style windows can be difficult to clean because a squeegee can't generally fit between the different sections properly. Some window cleaners get round this by cut their squeegee to the size of the window sections, which makes the cleaning process quicker. If not then they can use the same method used when cleaning lead and lattice windows.
No matter the kind of window you have that needs cleaning you should be able to find a window cleaner that has a solution for you.
