There are a number of methods that window cleaners can use to clean 'problem' windows, or those windows that are in very hard to reach places, or obscure places that you simply would not be able to get to and clean effectively by yourself. Hard to Reach Window Cleaning Methods

There are several methods of window cleaning used for hard to reach windows from abseiling techniques for the very high windows and reach and wash systems for the lower buildings. In some cases it will be possible to use ladders to reach the windows, this would be where the reach and wash systems can't reach. Each of these methods are used in accordance to which would be the safest for the window cleaner.

Cleaning a Sky Light Window

With skylight windows they tend to require little cleaning compared to standard windows because of how they are angled much of the dirt is washed off by rain. Although after a period of time even the skylights will need to be cleaned to rmove any dirt that is on the window surface. Some of these windows will have the ability to turn fully so you can clean them from inside, however if they are not this style they can be fairly awkward to clean.

The person cleaning the window will usually gain roof access so they are able to reach the window fully they would then have to ensure they have the right equipment so not to damage the materials that their window is made of. For example if the window were made of plastic they would need to make sure they used non abrasive cleaning prodcuts on the frame. They usually dry fairly quickly on their own because the water will just drain off because of the angle the window is at.

Other methods for cleaning problem windows are by using such equipment as harnesses and lift mechanisms to lift the window cleaner up to the area in question allowing them to give the window a thorough hand clean without much trouble. The only problem with this method is that it can prove very costly and is really only used by businesses for the cleaning of commercial windows in high-rise blocks of buildings.
