reach and wash system

reach and washSometimes it can be quite difficult for window cleaners to reach the more difficultly placed windows, or for the larger jobs a squeegee and cloth simply will not do the job fast enough and with enough accuracy. In these cases, such as for a building that is mainly made of windows, it would be more beneficial for the window cleaner to a system called the 'Reach & Wash System'.

The purpose of reach and wash systems

The basic purpose of the 'High Reach & Wash' system, and the reason why a lot of large commercial window cleaners are opting to use it, is that it allows for a very high reach and powerful wash of windows that are too high for a ladder, and inaccessible by any other means that may have been thought of. The system is made up of a line of water fed poles that can be extended to however long they are needed to reach the windows. There is usually some form of sponge, or squeegee attached to the end that will perform the necessary washing of the window as the water is pumped.

How do water fed systems work?

These systems have their own method of passing window cleaning fluid up the pipe so that the window is able to be washed thoroughly in more than just water to ensure a good clean. Operators can work from the safety of the ground with the greatest of ease and the cleaning fluid associated with the system is environmentally friendly using no detergent or chemicals. This also means that no residue is left after cleaning as the window can;t be squeegeed to the same effectiveness of a window cleaned by hand.

reach and washThe system uses 'pure water' which consumers algae on contact which will keep your frames and windows from ebing discoloured, removing any green patches that may have been growing on the windows. The system is also effective in cleaning the frames surrounding the window, as well ad the glass itself.

The operator of the system will bring a tank with him with 1000 litres of pure water, which enough to be able to do a lot of windows in one go. Sometimes, for larger jobs a bigger tank can be brought, but the 1000 litre tank is often plenty of pure water to cover most of the window cleaning jobs.
